### Project Description

Laughs and Learning is working towards opening a non-denominational preschool in Lodi, Ca. Lodi has over 14 faith-based preschools, and only one non-denominational preschool that has bad reviews and is centered around money, not the families. Laughs and Learning offers families the ability to afford great care and education for their children. Family is our foundation, education is our baseline. We strive to ensure the children are safe, secure, and enjoying their time learning. We provide flexibility and affordability to all families. Being non-denominational gives the parent the right to teach their children their own faith in their own way. As an in-home provider, a previous preschool teacher, and a mother of 4, I understand and appreciate the struggle of dropping your babies off to go to work. I relate to the families who had no choice to put their child in a faith-based preschool, despite disagreeing with some of what they were teaching my toddlers. My goal is to allow families to feel at ease dropping off their children. With a center, I can provide more care for more families. With my experience, I can ensure that families have peace of mind. I strive to teach children the essential tools to thrive in school.

I know the demand is here. I am receiving many calls for spots I don’t have due to my ratio cap. I have spoken to many families who struggle with this. I know many providers who have no availability. Affordable, safe, educational, and flexible childcare is scarce in Lodi. Please help me bring this community what it needs.
